The current setup
This website currently sets no first-party cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking technology. It does use limited local browser storage to remember language and privacy choices. Local storage is not technically a cookie, but it is covered here for transparency.
Essential storage is needed to remember preferences you request and does not require consent. Optional external media remains blocked until you explicitly allow it.
Stored preferences
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| qahees-lang | localStorage | Remembers EN or NL | Until changed or browser data is cleared |
| qahees-consent-v1 | localStorage | Remembers the YouTube-video choice, version, decision time, and expiry | 12 months |
Both items are functional storage. They contain no name, email address, or advertising ID and are not used to follow behaviour across websites.
External video
When a film contains a YouTube video, the site first shows a locally hosted preview. The player and connection to YouTube load only after you choose ‘Allow YouTube videos’ or deliberately activate the blocked video. The player uses youtube-nocookie.com, but Google may still process connection and device data and use its own storage after loading.
More information is available in the Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
Choose and withdraw
‘Essential only’ and ‘Allow YouTube videos’ are equally available choices. YouTube is off by default. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: open privacy settings, turn YouTube videos off, and save. Changing the choice stops and removes any loaded external player from the page.
You can also remove stored preferences through your browser. The site will ask for a choice again on a later visit.
Changes and contact
If analytics, advertising, or another external service is added later, this inventory will be updated before activation and fresh consent will be requested where needed. For questions, email info@qahees.com.
